Joe Brent

Joe Brent is the founder and managing director of Adhyâropa Records. In 2021, Joe founded Adhyâropa Records to be the “boutique” label for his band 9 Horses, but it quickly developed into a platform for the band’s ethos of egality, creative equity, and anti-corporate activism on behalf of artists of all genres. It continues to offer artist-forward distribution and PR services and serve as a model for sustainability in the music industry.

Andrew Ryan

Kate Steinberg

Kate used to work for DistroKid but was fired for trying to unionize along with several of her co-workers. She fuckin’ works with us now. When not helping artists get their music out into the world, she makes some amazing music on her own or with Sleigh Bells, Motion City Soundtrack, Miss Grit, Elle King, and lots of others.

Andrew is the bass player in 9 Horses, and although he is not actively involved in the day-to-day running of Adhyâropa, he was there at the beginning and is in many ways its co-founder; many of his ideas and philosophies carry on to this day in the way we do things.

Ron Zon

Ron started off as an intern, but their work was so extraordinary that they quickly became indispensable. Ron does lots of things for us – some you hear about, some you don’t – but whatever they touch, they make better.
